One Cool Flm will put many of its investment, production and distribution flm posters and production specials on display at the Hong Kong Film and Television Market. They will include WARRIORS OF FUTURE (MING YUT JING GEI, tentative title), TASTE OF CRIME (DAI AK CHO), IN YOUR DREAMS (YI CHING CHUN DIK MING YI), BACK TO THE PAST (CHUM CHUN GEI), STORM CLOUD (FUNG WON), THE MIGHTY PALMS OF TATHAGATA (YU LOI SUN JEUNG), THE EMPTY HAND (HUNG SAU DOH) and MEOW (MIU SING YUN).

The Louis Koo Tin Lok and Sean Lau Ching Wan starred futuristic science fiction action film WARRIORS OF FUTURE had a HK$ 350 million investment. Due to all the computer special effect technology, the post production will take around a year and a half and the release will be in 2019. During the shoot, Goo Jai and Ching Wan wore heavy armors. Each time they needed at least 4 workers to assist and put on the giant screws. Goo Jai joked that it was quite a big deal.

The action crime film TASTE OF CRIME will be Nick Cheung Ka Fai's third film as a director. The film will shoot on location in Japan and Shanghai. He will play an undercover police officer. His long hair and facial hair look on the past is rather refreshing.

Carina Lau Ka Ling will produce for the first time as IN YOUR DREAM. She provided a lot of valuable suggestions to director Tam Wai Ching on casting and production. She even performed for "zero salary".

The film BACK TO THE PAST (CHUM CHUN GEI) has entered its pre production stage and will have two concept posters at the Filmart to express the time travel subject. On one was the side view of a Qin terracotta warrior statue's head with some modern robotic parts. Will this robotic terracotta warrior appear in the film?

Richie Jen (Yam Yin Cha) yesterday morning attended the charity event Race for Water. Due to his injuries from an earlier off road race, he appeared with a harness to keep even greater pressure off his hip. Siu Chai revealed that recently he has been working on a script and went all over Hong Kong for inspiration as he wanted to understand Hong Kong more. "I want to make a romance like BEGIN AGAIN, about people from two different places running into each other in Hong Kong and reminded of their past. Hong Kong has a lot of detailed places that are very pretty, I want to shoot Hong Kong using my own angles. (When will it start production?) I don't know yet, the actors haven't been decided yet but I would write with the image of Jolin Tsai. I will try to see if I will be able to convince her. (Will you act?) If the character will be suitable I will try it, otherwise I will direct or produce. Actors ultimately have conditional restrictions."

Siu Chai revealed that he wanted to make some videos that would have a few scenes in the red light district, which he felt was a part of Hong Kong culture. "When I watched Hong Kong movies before I saw home prostitutes and some lights with special colors. I wanted to see it and add it into the film. (Would you examine it?) If I can finish the script, I will check it out and officially scout the location. (Will you bring your wife?) The assistant will be enough, I can depend on him if anything happens. I want to write about a top singer who sneaks out due to the enormous pressure and thinks back to before the fame. Now the singer has everything but not the freedom from before."

She said, "We have worked together many times, but each time our characters were different so we still would be able to set off spark. Each time also had a fresh feeling." She also praised Chan Ka Lok's performance improvement. "For our first horror film, we went from comedy, to social melodrama to horror and I saw his performance becoming even more mature. On the first day of work I heard the director and other workers praised his performance. His acting truly has grown."

Not only do different viewers get to enjoy it, but so many people like it too." She even said that she ran into different difficulties during the shoot, like the pressure from grasping the character. The team worked night and day, which absolutely was a test of sheer determination. Now that it finally is completed successfully, she was happy for the director and the team. Yun Yi was so happy that she was teary eyed, saying that a non big production that was able to break out of Hong Kong and receive recognition absolutely was a shot of confidence.

Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) and Mainland Kitty Zhang Yuqi, director Andrew Lau Wai Keung, cinematographer Arthur Wong Ngok Tai two nights ago attended the Hong Kong Society of Cinematographers annual dinner. Siu Chai and Zhang Yuqi won the "Most Charming Actor" and the "Most Charming Actress". Siu Chai said that in Taiwan no one has invited him to attend similar events. He felt that the Hong Kong film industry was very centripetal force, very united and had quite an atmosphere.

Siu Chai said that perhaps he played a cold robber he won the charming award. He said that he would continue to work hard on every character.

Yet sometimes during acting he was too in character. Siu Chai stated that it was very hard to leave the character. "After playing the robber, when I got home and looked at the kids my eyes turned vicious. They would be scared. Once I went to dinner with other actors, we all looked around to see if there were any cameras; next door was a gold store and we also came up with the escape route after a robbery; sometimes I even thought that I had a gun in my pocket. Thus after the shoot I had to take time off, adjust and leave the character. During the shoot I would try not to take other jobs, especially concerts."

Nominated for the Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor, Siu Chai was asked if after the charming award he would be more confident? "The competition is too strong, so I don't have any confidence. However I can sit there together, which is also a type of recognition." Would he attend with his family? Siu Chai said that they would not. "I am already very nervous, when I lose I wouldn't know what kind of reaction t to give. My family can stay home and cheer for me."

The "Most Charming Actress" Zhang Yuqi was also nominated for the Hong Kong Film Award Best Supporting Actress. "I was rather surprised to receive the Hong Kong Film Award nomination, as I didn't know the team applied for this category for me. It was rather unexpected and joyous. I rather look forward to this nomination and I definitely will attend the award show."

Will she celebrate with her husband? Zhang Yuqi said, "I think he would wait for me to win before celebrating with me. If I don't win, I would be too embarrass to go home. Everyone please just let me go home." Will she walk the red carpet with Stephen Chow Sing Chi? She said, "I don't know about the arrangement then, I only hope that it will be a little warmer and not rainy." The last time she attended the Hong Kong Film Award, her hair was wet and she was drenched.

Ai Wai, Rachel Lam Hei Tung and Lisa Ch'ng Si Ming two nights ago attended the film L.A. LOL (NGOR LO POR MEI GIT FUN) premiere. The film would only be at three cinemas locally. Ai Wai said that he was still confident and admitted that this time he answered to his mother as a lead actor. "She is always comparing me to Chow Yun Fat. She of course doesn't understand how amazing Chow Yun Fat is. She says that Chow Yun Fat went to Hollywood to make movies. This time I kind of went to Hollywood to make the movie. Of course if in the future I can win an award or two, like the oldest rookie award, she would be even happier!"

The 13th Hong Kong Entertainment Expo launch ceremony took place yesterday. Guests included financial secretary Paul Chan Mo Po, Secretary for Commerce and Development Gregory So Kam Leung, Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council Magaret Fong Shun Man, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television Film's Yang Zheng, Television and Entertainment Advisory Committee chief Terry Lai and Entertainment Expo ambassador Leon Lai Ming. Leon even talked about the creative background of his "tongue twister" promotional film.

At the same time, one of the Entertainment Expo's major events, the 21st Hong Kong International Film and Television Market yesterday opened. As a primary international film and television commerce platform, this year Filmart successfully attracted over 800 companies from 35 nations or regions. Aside from various major Hong Kong film companies many overseas nations or regions set up displays as well. In addition 15 "belt and road" nations, over 330 exhibitors also participated this year to explore international market business opportunities.

Financial secretary Chan Mo Po said that this year's Filmart is the largest in history, providing an ideal platform for exhibitors to network commerce and explore overseas market, connect all of the unique roles and advantages of the Mainland and other markets around the world. Six out of ten of the Mainland's top grossing films were co-productions. Hong Kong truly was a place with the best of the East and the West. He also mentioned that Hong Kong's beautiful scenery could attract overseas films for location shoots and become a lot of them, from which Hong Kong high quality and professional production personnel would be able to provide assistance.

Chan Mo Po even said that the Special Administrative government has promoted wholeheartedly the creative industry. In the past ten years the government allocated HK$ 1.5 billion to support the CreateSmart Initiative and the Film Development Fund to increase the film industry competitiveness. In the future it will continue to assist the industry in expanding the market to the "Belt and Road" nations.

Lai Ming earlier recorded a 30 second "tongue twister" promotional film, which already had over 900,000 views. Yesterday Lai Ming revealed the inspiration behind the "tongue twister" promotional film. At a meeting with a group of Entertainment Expo creative team colleagues, they would like every department's name to be mentioned but they only had 30 seconds. Leon said, "So we had to be fully responsible to promote with this limit!" He also sad that the Entertainment Expo yesterday officially opened and will last six weeks. It will bring a lot of joy and hope everyone would explore it step by step. He also will participate in some of them. Leon thanked the attending friends and left without any interview.

Sil-Metropole ysterday held its 2017 film rundown at the Hong Kong International Film and Television Market and introduced four major productions: DEALER/HEALER (DUK GAI), UNDERCOVER VS. UNDERCOVER (NGOR FU CHIM LUNG), MY PET IS AN ELEPHANT (NGOR DIK CHUNG MUK SI DAI JEUNG) and HOUSE OF THE RISING SONS (HING DAI BAN). DEALER/HEALER had the strongest cast. Based on the past of the outstanding youth Peter Chan Shun Chi, Best Actor Sean Lau Ching Wan said that he did not have any pressure from playing this character. However working with an elephant on another movie would be a challenge!

Sil-Metropole Organization chief Chei Yiqi yesterday said that the group has always worked hard on producing high quality films and planned to produce over ten movies every year for the Chinese film industry development to be even more colorful. Opening the event was Sean Lau Ching Wan, Louis Koo Tin Lok, Max Zhang Jin and Gordon Lam Ka Tung starred DEALER/HEALDER (DUK GAI), based on the legendary story of a mobster's drug addiction recovery. Ching Wan said, "I have no pressure from playing Chan Shun Chi. This is a very special movie. The story wants to tell everyone that many people have made mistakes, but they can live anew after repenting. However the world is missing understanding and forgiveness!" Koo Tin Lok's character turned from a cop to a drug dealer, but the host said that his 70s long hair and bell bottoms look was a little cute. Goo Jai said, "You know I am cute in a wig!" Lam Ka Tung played Lee Siu Kei, the character had to be very rough and loud; Zhang Jin played the best fighter "Kitty", who ended up cancer. He needed time to lose weight.

For the Gordon Chan Ka Seung produced, Vanness Wu (Ng Kin Ho), Philip Ng Won Lung and Andy Tien (On Chi Kit) starred UNDERCOVER VS. UNDERCOVER (NGOR FU CHIM LUNG), Ng Won Lung was the action director, actor and executive producer. He said that he, Ng Kin Ho and On Chi Kit over ten years ago worked together on STAR RUNNER (SIU NIN AH FU). In one scene back then they talked about the future. This time the trio reunited and shared the screen again.

For the fantasy film MY PET IS AN ELEPHANT, Lau Ching Wan had to go to Xishuangbanna. The director revealed that Ching Wan played over the hill circus ringleader and had emotional scenes with an elephant. In one scene he had to put his hand on the elephant's tusks. During the shoot he was a little worried. Ching Wan joked, "If it killed me, today Hong Kong would have one less Best Actor! Actually during the shoot the elephant was on its front knees. I held on to its tusks then it picked me up. However it had its eyes on me the whole time. It was very hot at the time too, I could sense that it was tolerating me. Thus I had to be careful of its temper. Because its trunk was very powerful and skin tough, with any mishap I would be busted open!" He said that in the film he had to be with five elephants for two months. The animals basically were very gentle, only one little one was in a bad mood. It would throw a tantrum like a child. During the shoot it would walk away and four or five trainers would not be able to do anything. However Ching Wan sensed that elephants indeed were very highly intelligent animals and should be properly protected and not harmed.

The final film was the Anthony Chan Yau directed, the Wynners based HOUSE OF THE RISING SONS (HING DAI BAN). It would depict six young people's pursuit for their music dreams. In the flm aside from the Wynners, Simon Yam Tat Wa, Liu Kai Chi, Kara Wai Ying Hung, Elaine Jin (Kam Yin Ling) and Chin Siu Ho would star. Yesterday Alan Tam Wing Lun was skiing in Europe and did not appear. The remaining four Wynners jammed with the "young version Wynners" on a rendition of the song HOUS OF THE RISING SUN. Sil-Metropole will continue to make movies like I HAVE A DATE WITH A VAMPIRE, SAM LEI TUN 18 HO HONG (SANLITUN 18 GOOD MEN), JUI SAT (CHASE TO KILL), HAK HAT JUI GIK (HACKER SNIPING), JUI MUNG SEUNG SING (DREAM CHASNG TWIN CITIES), SEUNG JOI NEI JOR YAU (ALWAYS AROUND YOU), GA JAU YUN GEI (CALIFORNIA PREGNANCY JOURNAL) and SAM CHOI GUOON YUM (THREE COLORED GODDESS OF MERCY).

Jessica Kan Suk Yi and Kabby Hui Nga Ting yesterday attended the Hong Kong International Film and Television Market to promote their new supernatural film. Jessica said, "The director said my eyes looked evil, which I didn't mind when I got to make a movie. This time I originally had a lot of lines, in the end only one was left. No spoiler so you have to see it for yourselves!"

Hui Nga Ting revealed that in the film she and Bryant Mak Chi Lok had an intimate scene. She said, "I wore a tank top and he was topless. He was very well built but very shy. Big by shy gusy are pretty good!" In charge of the company's Hong Kong business, Ha Yu said, "The company will discover even more new directors. I want to do something for Hong Kong film! (Aren't you busy with both on and off screen work?) I am very busy, but I make the most money from being on screen. For now I won't give up acting!"

Shawn Yue Man Lok, Janice Man Wng Shan, Max Zhang Jin, and Cecilia So Lai Shan yesterday attended the Sun Entertainment Culture's film showcase and promoted their new film THE BRINK (KONG SAU). Playing a villain this time, Lok Jai said that the toughest part was the ending because it took a month to finish. They not only had to visit many locations but also had to shoot underwater. Each actor could only work for a certain period of time, then they had to rest.

Speaking of the underwater fight scene, Lok Jai had stress. "Working on the underwater scene I had to remove my goggles and oxygen mask. Under water it was very dark and I couldn't see anything. Once I almost got into trouble. I forgot to remove the lead, so I couldn't get out of the water no matter how hard I swan. I kept taking in water, luckily I was fine. However I had stress from going into the water. (Did you feel it was dangerous?) Before the shoot I already knew it was dangerous, I was the only one with a diving certification. Zhang Jin and (Gordon) Lam Ka Tung didn't. I already wasn't the one in the most danger." Although each other he stressed about getting into the water, Lok Jai said that he would not stop taking similar roles.

The Louis Koo Tin Lok, Gordon Lam Ka Tung, Jacky Cai Jie, Hanna Chan and four action actors Tony Jaa, Ken Low Wai Kwong, Wu Yue, Chris Collins starred new film PARADOX (TAM LONG) yesterday held its global press conference at the Hong Kong Film And Television Market. The actors along with producer Paco Wong, director Wilson Yip Wai Shun, action director Sammo Hung Kam Bo had a toast and a lighting ceremony.

The actors then talked about their production experience. Tony Jaa greeted everyone in Cantonese and demonstrated his warm up before a Thai kickboxing fight. He even tried beatboxing and rapping a song. Yip Wai Shun revealed that the most memorable was Tony Jaa busting his head open on the second day of work. Luckily he was fine, after resting for a day he was able to return to work already. Goo Jai admitted that this time he fought the most in his film career. He had to fight against a dozen or more by himself. During the process he had superficial wounds, but not as injured as Tony Jaa. He also praised how great Sammo was. As for being called a kung fu star was rarely seen in ten years, Goo Jai humbly said, "I had no action scene experience, I had a scene that was over ten minutes long. I had to fight dozen or so, I fought for several weeks. After each shot I sat down on the spot and rested, then I kept shooting on the same spot. This was truly very memorable. I hoped to fight less the next time, because later I had another new film that I also had to fight." He joked that Donnie Yen Chi Tan fought a dozen people at the same time, he fought them separately.

Goo Jai also mentioned Sammo's production method. "During my dramatic scene, Bg Brother went to the set to fight once with the stunt people. Then he would edit the footage and score it to show me. I could just follow that. However after I finished the video, even my glasses fell off. I didn't believe that I could do it. Before hand I trained for two days. (Did you a double?) Yes, some flips I couldn't do so I used a double. The remaining 90% were all me."

Director Johnnie To Kei Fung yesterday attended the 11th Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival. Speaking of the film TRIVISA (SHU DAI JIU FUNG)'s Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) and Gordon Lam Ka Tung both being nominated for the Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor, he said, "It truly is very hard to choose. They both worked hard, it would be the best for both to win. However, I feel the award doesn't necessarily completely evaluate an actor's good and bad. As long as he is a good actor, he will win an award one day." TRIVISA performed well at many award shows, but To Kei Fung has not considered a sequel yet. He said, "We will see if we will have a chance to make this type of films, but we won't use these three actors. We hope to have some changes. The best would be a different director. I want to lead even more new comers. I myself would make one movie a year at the most, I hope for interest and not for the market."

The 41st Hong Kong International Film Festival press conference yesterday announced that this year the opening film will be the Pang Ho Cheung directed LOVE OFF THE CUFF (CHUN GIU GAU JI MING). The closing film will be the Giddens Ko directed MON MON MON MONSTERS. The 15 day long film festival selected over 230 films from 65 countries. 69 were world, international or Asian premieres. This year in memory of the 10th anniversary of director Edward Yang's passing, the special presentation "Edward Yang, 10 Year Commemoration" would bring back 7 films including the just restored TAIPEI STORY and A BRIGHTER SUMMER DAY. In addition, many internationally renowned directors will visit Hong Kong, including the Cannes Film Festival Best Director, France's Olivier Assayas and Berlin Film Festival Silver Bear Alfred Bauer prize winner, Polish director Agnieszka Holland.

Yesterday guests included Pang Ho Cheung, Giddens Ko, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa, Shawn Yue Man Lok and Tsai Fan-Xi. LOVE OFF THE CUFF's leads Yue Man Lok and Yeung Chin both looked forward to the premiere. Chin Wa's deepest impression was from a special effect scene that the director wanted after her break up. She had to look at the sky and see what would appear and use her imagination to react. It took four hours. Without the camera next to her, outsiders would think that she was mentally ill.

Lok Jai said that the film added many major scenes, but also had bed scenes. Would he show his girlfriend? Lok Jai said that she was not in Hong Kong. Chin Wa joked that she could watch it anywhere around the world and even in the universe. Would she mind that her other half would watch her bed scene performance? Chin Wa said, "When Mr. Ting (Real Ting) met me he already knew I was an artist. He would only say, 'Lose weight Old Lady', he did not want me to look like Ma. Our relationship is about trust, he would even ask close friends to book a show to watch my movie in support!" Lok Jai also said, "My girlfriend has seen the two previous movies, she didn't say whether she liked them or not. She knew it was work!" Would he need to warn her? Lok Jai said, "If I have to warn her about that I am done for, it's so minor. Keep calm. What do you think our Yeung Chin Wa is? Is she so cool?" Chin Wa said that actually the bed scene that Pang Ho Cheung made was only rolling around in bed. Lok Jai answered, "There was no 'bang bang bang'!" Chin Wa heard that and said that she had low blood sugar and needed cola. Lok Jai joked that perhaps the director was lazy too and just went with rolling around a few times.

Giddens Ko's new film MON MON MON MONSTERS will be this year's closing film. He said that Hong Kong has been great to him. Earlier he had a little success and had to show his appreciation. Thus he felt very honored as well.

Speaking of his YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE was the highest grossing Hong Kong Chinese film in history until last year when COLD WAR 2 (HONG JIN 2) broke the record, Giddens Ko replied, "That's great, I grew up watching Hong Kong films. It's incredible that the box office record was held for several years, but it wouldn't be too regrettable. I am already too lucky!" Did he see COLD WAR 2? Giddens Ko said that it was great, it felt very era spanning. His new film MON also span an era and was also Edko distributed. Was he confident that it would become the box office champion again? Giddens Ko said that the pressure has already ended because during the shoot he did not think it was entertaining. After editing it should become very entertaining. Thus the challenge has ended. He wanted to see the audience reaction through this film festival and he could still have time to fix anything bad. The film will open on July 28th in Taiwan and he hoped that it will be released simultaneously in Hong Kong.

Julian Cheung Chi Lam, Charmaine Sheh Sze Man, Chrissie Chau Sau Na, Joyce Cheng Yun Y, Larine Tang Yueping, Babyjohn Choi Hong Yik, Pakho Chau yesterday attended the China 3D Digital Entertainment press conference.

The chubby faced Chilam gained some weight for the film SEUNG JOI NEI JOR YAU. He said that he deliberately gained weight for the film, he pigged out during Christmas and New Year and gained 20 pounds! Now he must lose weight, otherwise he would have to transition to another genre. Lately he has been working hard on exercises and diets. The hardest part was the temptation. Did his wife Anita Yuen Wing Yi call him "chubby"? Chilam said, "She kept giving me looks, I have been severely impacted! I have to slim down in a flash and be the thinnest artist. Would I get anorexia though?" He said that losing 15 pounds would be the most ideal. Of course he could not reach the eight pack abdominal muscles during his concerts, not to mention that everyone has seen them. "Now I have lost 2 pounds. I have to lose them slowly in order to be healthy. I also have asked a demon coach to get back into shape. Today before the event I only had banana and salad."

Ah Sheh worked with Dayo Wong Tze Wah on DUNG DUK DUT GUNG. She said that many of his special agent costumes looked horrible. Each time she saw him she would want to "pound" him. She too had many "making faces" expressions. Tang Yueping said that she and Tze Wah would have a kiss scene. Ah Sheh joked that if she paid a lot of money, since she did not get to kiss Tze Wah.

Was Ah Sheh envious of Larine? She revealed, "The story kept changing, I have control over whether I am willing to kiss him or not." She said that Tze Wah really wanted to but she was still considering it. She would only do so if the story absolutely required it. "As the screen writer Tze Wah said that he would arrange for me to try dessert in the film. For now I have no idea what it will be." Speaking of how bad Tze Wah looked, Ah Sheh said that at first she could not help but laugh. Now she is already used to it.

He talked about not sleeping for days for his claim to fame MR. VAMPIRE. He also sad that a lot of vampire fighting methods from the film came from games. Shaw Brothers film yesterday held the Hong Kong International Film and Television Market press conference to announce the official signing of Annie Liu (Lau Sum Yau), Hugo Goh (Ng Doi Yung) and Susanna Kwan Kuk Ying as its artists. Bosco Wong Chung Chak after Wong Cho Lam will join Shaw and establish his own office. Shaw Brothers executive director Elaine Lok Yi Ling stressed that she wanted to take Wong Chung Chak's company public, which gave him a lot of pressure.

Each new addition received a Shaw golden plaque and three new comers Yao Weitao, Wong Jik Fu and Mo Kai Wai were introduced. Shaw Brothers also will work on Youku on a over HK$ 100 millon web drama FEI FU GIK JIN with Wong Chung Chak, Ron Ng Cheuk Hei, Michael Wong Man Tak, Oscar Leung Lit Wai. They were dressed as the SDU and performed a criminal capture scene.

Wong Chung Chak's work schedule was filled until 2018. Lok Yi Ling even said that she would take his company public. Wong Chung Chak said that going public would be very stressful. He hoped to work for a few more years first, but Ms. Lok was very relaxed. Bosco said, "We talked about some work direction, it would depend on the timing. Earlier at the meeting I already knew that we have 10 projects on hand. My motto is there is only one life and one person. I might not work too much, but all the projects are very attractive. I would wait until I finish the jobs on hand. I am interested in production too. The company givces me a lot of freedom, I can choose what I want to do. (Would you sign artists?) I want to, I will think about that after work."

In the future Wong Chung Chak would be busy with work for seemingly a lot of compensation. He joked, "No one would think they have too much money, the more I work the more I get. I am different from Lau Sum Yau. It's all about money for me. (Are you saving up for a wife?) I have a dog, a home, Ma spends a lot. She is always on vacation and I don't get to go. I make money she spends it. (Would you invest in the office yourself?) It would depend on the production."

Sum Yau was asked how long would the collaboration be? She said, "I am not at liberty to discuss that, but I would have a lot of space to develop. I will make films and web drama, have a chance to work with different nations. Ms. Lok was very sincere. We are all about trust. I didn't ask for any special condition. (Is the salary very attractive?) Of course both sides are very pleased, but money isn't the focus. (How much more is the salary?) It's not just money, they are very sincere."

Sean Lau Ching Wan, Louis Koo Tin Lok, Simon Yam Tat Wa, Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin, Gillian Chung Yun Tung, Pakho Chau, Alex Fong Chung Shun, Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Kara Wai Ying Hung and Michelle Wai Sze Nga yesterday attended the Hong Kong International Film and Television Market's Emperor Motion Picture showcase. Upcoming releases and productions were introduced, including 77 HEARTBREAKS (YUEN LEUNG TA 77 CHI), MOTHER-IN-LAW VS. SON-IN-LAW (NGOR DIK CHING DIK NUI SAI), COLD DETECTIVE (SUN TAM DAI JIN) and MEOW (MIU SING YUN). Goo Jai and the giant kitten's pairing caught the most attention, even handsome guys and pretty girls were no match.

Emperor boss Albert Yeung Sau Sing said that this year the company will make four films, next year it will make three film. As for the investment amount, he said, "I didn't count, the total amount hasn't been set yet. I have an idea." Wai Ying Hung said that MRS. K was her final action film. Mr. Yeung said, "She really is very injured, she has been resting for over a month. (Would you cultivate an action actress successor?) It's very hard, for now I don't have any on hand."

Yesterday appearing with his co-star in MEOW, Koo Tin Lok also was with his on screen wife Ma Li, 4 and a half year old daughter Jessica Liu Chutian, 14 year old son Andy Huang. Goo Jai and the cat even gave each other high five. Goo Ja was asked whether a sequel would be made. He said, "Next time we will make WOOF." His on screen children revealed that he prepared a lot of food for work. Goo Jai said that Tian Tian was already half a size larger halfway through the shoot because she ate all the prop potato chips! Now she is much thinner.

Was working with children not hard? Goo Jai said, "Tian Tian isn't difficult at all, she is very nice." In the film Goo Jai and Ma Li had kiss scenes. Goo Jai said that in the film as soon as Ma Li got mad he would kiss her. They kissed five or six times, the most in his film career. Anyone who did not know might think that he paid off the director. Ma Li said that she completed the dreams of women all around the entire nation. She kissed a god and not just once! She was very happy to work with Benny Chan Muk Sing. "I feel Hong Kong actors and directors are very professional, I have to give them a like."

Yam Tat Wa and Wai Sze Nga in the 2018 Lunar New Year film MOTHER-IN-LAW VS. SON-IN-LAW would have an age defying romance. Brother Wa said that when the film will start production in July, he will take Sze Nga for a walk on the beach. Has Brother Wa dated a young girl in real life? Brother Wa joked, "Sure, earlier in SARA I was with Ah Sa. (Not including movies?) I am dating my daughter." In the film he played a subdivided property king. He joked that lately he has been frequently looking at properties for research. He planned to buy a few units after making the movie. Brother Wa also joked that he would learn from Goo Jai. "He even bought (Johnnie) To Kei Fung's office. I am in that building's sixth floor. I told Goo Jai to go too and buy the film company." With properties around the world, Brother Wa was also a world class property kng. He said that he only bought a little.

Wai Sze Nga said that Brother Wa was her idol and she never thought that they could play a couple. Will they have any kiss scene? She guessed that they will. Starring in two films, Sze Nga did not deny that she had the support of the company. "The company has said that, it told me to work hard. The company knows I really like to make movies. (Did the company prohibit you from dating?) It didn't say I can't date. Dating will increase experience, which would widen the acting range."

In THE SLEEP CURSE (SUT MIN) Wai Sze Nga played two characters. Aside from working with Anthony Wong Chau Sun and Gordon Lam Ka Tung, she also performed a scene in which she tried to eat herself.

SLEEP was a reunion for Wong Chau Sun and director Yau Lai To after EBOLA VIRUS and THE UNTOLD STORY. Chau Sun stated that he will not work on another film with similar subject. The film has already been selected for the upcoming 19th Udine Far East Film Festival and the Hong Kong International Film Festival.

Lau Ching Wan at the end of the year will work on the Wai Ka Fai directed film COLD DETECTIVE (SUN TAM DAI JIN). The latter siad that when they worked together on the TVB series THE GREED OF MAN (DAI SI DOI), in one scene Ching Wan had ten ways to perform. Ching Wan joked, "I only took one salary."

Ten years ago they worked together on the film THE MAD DETECTIVE (SUN TAM). Wai Ka Fai pointed out that at the time he felt Ching Wan could go a little further. Thus this time he will arrange for him to play a entire serious crime unit by himself. Ching Wan joked, "I just found out myself, I am worrying. (Would you be afraid that you would end up with split personality?) No, how would it be so easy? (Playing multiple characters, would you ask for a raise?) No need." He also said that if playing a heavy character the actor would have a very hard time. Over the years his most difficult role was in WRITTEN BY (JOI SUN HO), but he did not have any special way to leave the character. He used his own intelligence to analyze it. Would his wife Amy Kwok Oi Ming have a hard time too? Ching Wan said, "No, don't make this sound too serious."

Ah Sa and Pakho Chau in the film 77 HEARTBREAKS played a couple that has been together for over a decade. A third party appeared between them. In the trailer they even had kiss and bed scenes. Guest star Chung Yun Tung and Yumiko Cheng Hei Yi played Ah Sa's best friends. Would Ah Sa forgive her boyfriend for making a mistake? She said, "That would depend on what he did, he can exceed the bottom line. (Like no third party in the film?) Yes." Speaking of bed scenes with Pakho, Ah Sa said, "He had a better time!" Pakho instead felt that he had a better time in the argument scene with Ah Sa's on screen father Lawrence Cheng Tan Shui.

Was it better for Pakho to make the bed scene or yell at someone? "Yelling at Brother Tan was better." Ah Sa immediately joked that he was "dissing" her. Pakho immediately said, "Arguing is better, bed scene is great." Ah Sa also revealed that the most memorable was the bed scene that ended up with them arguing. In real life did she run into anything similar? She said, "No." Ah Gil said that the appearance of her character would change Ah Sa's fate in the film. Was it just like real life? She said that they would change each other. Then, did she work on the film for free? Ah Sa said, "She was paid, but I don't know how much." Ah Gil revealed that she gave a friendly discount.

Alex Fong Chung Shun and Carlos Chan Ka Lok yesterday promoted new film JUI HAU, which will shoot on location in Macau. Being from there Fong Chung Shun joked that he was going home for work. He also said that he would take the team out to dinner and to the Emperor Hotel for a "few hands".

Chan Ka Lok said that his dream of working with Fong Chung Shun will come true. He praised how charming he was. "The most special is working with him. I have watched a lot of his work. After ten years in the business I finally get the chance, I can see his masculine charm!" Fong Chung Shun joked, "You have a bright future!"
